FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 24, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Steph Curry (vs WAS – $9,300): Needs 39.5 fantasy points. Curry got a little bit of a rest against the Suns and still came up with 48.8 fantasy points in 30 minutes. He should play more against a Wizards team that is strange to figure out. Klay Thompson is listed as probable, but if by chance he doesn’t play, super nova Surry will be unleashed once again. Curry wasn’t great against the Wizards last season, but we know what he can do and with the way he’s playing, 45+ fantasy points feels likely. Diagnosis: High ceiling player against a shaky defensive team. If Thompson ends up not playing, Curry will have a big game.
Kemba Walker (at CHI – $8,400): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. Walker continued his hot start to the season with 41.5 fantasy points against a tough Raptors team. The Bulls are a much easier matchup as they play little to know defense. With the way Walker is scoring this season, there is no reason to doubt him, especially with a matchup like this. Diagnosis: Salary is way too low for what Walker has shown this season. Take him without hesitation.
Trae Young (vs DAL – $7,800): Needs 33.1 fantasy points. Young posted 55.9 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Oct. 21 and lived up to the hype in that game. He’ll have nights where he struggles, but the Cavaliers game was an encouraging sign. And this matchup is encouraging as the Mavericks defense has been very suspect to start the season. As long as Young is continuing to feel it, he should have problem getting you another 40+ fantasy points. Diagnosis: Ride the hot hand against a good matchup.
