High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Goran Dragic (vs NY – $6,500): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. Dragic is off to a consistent start this season, going over 30 fantasy points in each of the first three games. He’s capable of more, and the Knicks are a good matchup, but at the very least he’s been reliable. On a big night of action, you need reliable options and Dragic certainly fits the bill. Diagnosis: Consistent option with a high ceiling than he’s shown thus far and a good matchup.

Derrick Rose (at TOR – $4,500): Needs 19.1 fantasy points. I don’t exactly love the matchup for Rose as the Raptors are the best team in the east, but I do love the salary and how many opportunities he gets in Minnesota. He’s going to get big minutes and he’s going to get his scoring and assist opportunities. Given what he’s shown this season, he’s easy to fit into your lineup and should at least hit value. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, making him a bit of a risk. But the circumstances are great for Rose and he’s been better than expected this season.

Bryn Forbes (vs IND – $4,300): Needs 18.3 fantasy points. Forbes has been solid as the starting point guard in San Antonio. What helps him is the fact that the Pacers aren’t very good early in the season and he plays big minutes alongside some good players. His value has largely been tied to his shooting, but he’s shooting with the best of them right now. Diagnosis: Low cost, reliable player who has an opportunity to impress against this matchup.
