WASHINGTON, DC – JANUARY 13: Otto Porter Jr. /

High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Otto Porter Jr. (at GS – $6,400): Needs 26 fantasy points. I still can’t figure out Otto Porter and the Wizards this season. He went from 18.2 fantasy points to 36 fantasy points. He’s been passively aggressively buried by his teammates and he’s stepped up when they needed him. Honestly, I have no read on the Wizards. But I do know Potter Jr averaged 49.5 fantasy points in two games against the Warriors last season. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward player. Teams always bring their best against the Warriors and the Wizards, on paper, are good. But could just as easily flame out because the Wizards, not on paper, are erratic.

TJ Warren (vs LAL- $5,700): Needs 23.2 fantasy points. I’m a big fan of pounding this matchup. The Suns and Lakers could combine for 250 points, which means there will be plenty of fantasy points to go around. Warren is coming off the bench in Phoenix and isn’t as strong of an option as he was last season, but he can get hot in a hurry, just like he did against the Warriors. Diagnosis: A high scoring player in what should be a high scoring game.

Jae Crowder (at HOU – $4,600): Needs 18.7 fantasy points. Crowder has been solid coming off the bench for the Jazz, doing a bit of everything. Minutes are rarely an issue for him despite his bench role due to his versatility. I love Crowder in this matchup because, as we saw last season in the playoffs, Houston can scheme Derrick Favors off the floor. And in his places comes Crowder. He should get his biggest chance to impress in this one. Diagnosis: If things go how they went in the playoffs, Crowder will have a big opportunity to step up. I expect him to do so.
