FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 24, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Markieff Morris (at GS – $5,700): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. I always love Morris’ game because he’s not afraid to shoot and that counts for a lot in DFS. And given the quality of looks he gets, being unafraid to shoot is a good thing. He had 34.8 fantasy points against the Warriors last season. The Wizards are still tough to figure out, but Morris is going to bring it. Diagnosis: Confidence can be key in DFS and Morris plays with that confidence. As long as Dwight Howard is out, Morris will continue to get opportunities in every lineup.
Serge Ibaka (vs MIN – $5,400): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. Longtime readers will know the deal with Ibaka . When he’s hot, he’s hot. And he’s still hot right now. He did tail off a bit against Charlotte and isn’t shooting the three line you would expect him to, so the warning signs of a cold spell are there. The good news is that the Timberwolves are a bad defensive team and Ibaka should still put up points and rebounds. Diagnosis: Keep riding the hot hand.
PJ Tucker (vs UTA – $4,500): Needs 19.1 fantasy points. One good thing about Tucker is that he’s going to get minutes, shots, and other opportunities to produce. He was great in the playoff series against the Jazz last season, which is why I’m high on him on Wednesday. Also, Carmelo Anthony simply can’t play against Utah, meaning Tucker will take on an even bigger role. Diagnosis: A good set of circumstances for Tucker to turn in a great performance.
