2018 Stats: 107 of 152, 2066 yds, 25 TD, 0 INT, 123 rush yds, 2 rush TD
Next Game: @ LSU (Nov. 3)

Tua Tagovailoa is having what may be the oddest Heisman Trophy campaign in the modern era. He’s ranked 28th in yards passing per game, he’s 12th nationally in total passing yards, and he’s 94th in the nation in attempted passes.

Yet he’s the most feared quarterback in the nation. Why?

He’s been so efficient and on-point, he leads Alabama to colossal leads and then hands the ball to backup quarterback (and former starter) Jalen Hurts.

Tua still hasn’t taken a snap in the 4th quarter of a game.

He still hasn’t thrown an interception.

His quarterback rating is off the charts, at 238.85, and he doesn’t have to rely on his legs to get the job done.

The week off probably won’t hurt Tua’s standing on the Heisman list. At worst, he’ll slip to second behind Kyler Murray should he have a big game against Kansas State. The good news is, his questionable knee will get a week of rest before heading to Death Valley.

Make no mistake, the game against LSU on November 3 may make or break Tua’s Heisman campaign, as well as Alabama’s hope for yet another national championship.
