2019 NFL mock draft: 49ers take Nick Bosa first overall
By Brad Weiss
The Cleveland Browns have been brought down to earth the past couple of weekends, and it appears they are once again headed toward the top-10 in the NFL Draft. After getting trounced by the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6, the Browns lost to a very bad Tampa Bay Buccaneers team in overtime this past weekend, as Hue Jackson’s hot seat continues to get warmer.
When it comes time for the Browns to pick in the first round next year, they should once again look to get better at cornerback. Denzel Ward was selected by the team with the No. 4 overall pick this past April, and he has been tremendous for the team as a rookie, but he needs help if this team is going to move forward.
The best cornerback in this draft class is Andraez Williams, who is as good in coverage as it gets for LSU. In fact, he is a big reason why the Tigers are suddenly one of the best teams in college football this season, and will certainly be off the board very early in round one next April.
Cleveland is close to being a very solid team in the NFL, but they have to get over the hump of losing close games late. Maybe they do need a change at head coach, but one thing is for sure, if they do not get better in the secondary, it is going to be very hard to beat the elite teams in the conference.
