Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos, $6,500

Stats: 436 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns, 119 receiving yards, 1 touchdown

Phillip Lindsay has shown his all-pro talent each week the Denver Broncos have employed him onto the field. Lindsay is one of those feel good hometown kid stories movies are made about. If he keeps up his production we might just see one made about him in the future. Lindsay has proven to be a dual threat on the field. He can rush the ball and line up as a receiver.

His skill set should come as no surprise to anyone who saw his college career at Colorado University. He’s been used as a Swiss Army knife for quite a long time. Lindsay has excelled at everything he has been asked to do, including special teams. Lindsay has an excellent matchup in Week 8 against a very poor Kansas City Chiefs defense who are currently ranked dead last in the NFL.

Next: Best NFL player from each state

Lindsay shouldn’t even have a position title attached to his name. He is a jack of all trades on the football field. For example on Thursday night football  against the Arizona Cardinals Lindsay compiled 61 return yards along with 90 rushing yards and a touchdown. Lindsay is reminiscent of a wide receiver when he is on the field. Are we the only ones who think that? This guy is a straight-up baller for the Broncos. They are very lucky that he chose to stay in his home state.

We all know the potential that Kansas City has on offense. The Broncos don’t have the same firepower, nor can they keep up in a shootout, but Lindsay’s skill set does provide this team with explosiveness across the board. This Sunday he will be fun to watch and hopefully Denver finds more ways to utilize him in Week 8. We all love an underdog story, so let’s jump on the Lindsay hype train and watch our lineups rise.

Prediction: 70 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, 2 total touchdowns
