5. Raheem Mostert hits the double digit fantasy points mark

Over the past few weeks, the San Francisco 49ers have found something in Raheem Mostert. He has been their most effective running back and has earned himself more touches. Mostert is a balanced runner who can work between the tackles and on the edge.

San Francisco ranks No. 2 in the NFL in rushing and that’s a trend we shouldn’t expect to change. Mostert’s recent success means that he’ll be apart of the game plan. He could be in line for extra carries with Matt Breida nursing an injury.

This week, the 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals who are allowing a league worst 148 yards per game. San Francisco is going to attack this weakness early and often.

The 49ers have a great opportunity to get a win this weekend. However, that might require that they keep the ball out of C.J. Beathard’s hands. The young quarterback has really struggled with turnovers since replacing the injured Jimmy Garoppolo.

Beathard’s struggles, the injury to Breida and the Cardinals poor rush defense creates a perfect storm for Mostert to have another big game. He’s someone who’s a strong flex play with the potential to be a RB2 in some leagues.
