3. Jared Goff out-duels Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers has sat atop the fantasy football quarterback rankings for a few years, but it’s time for someone else to take the reins. This weekend we could get a look at one of the top contenders in Jared Goff.

The Los Angeles Rams feature a wide array of offensive weapons that all help make things easier on their quarterback. However, Goff himself is playing with a ton of confidence and making some amazing throws.

He has obviously bought into Sean McVay’s system and it has allowed him to flourish. This weekend he’ll look to make a statement.

The Green Bay Packers are dealing with some injuries in their secondary with Davon House already on IR and both Jaire Alexander and Bashaud Breeland getting limited practices this week. Look for the Rams to test the Packers secondary.

Another reason to be bullish about Goff’s fantasy production is the versatility of Todd Gurley. He’s someone who can do just as much damage as a pass catcher as he does as a runner. Los Angeles doesn’t hesitate to get Gurley touches in areas like the screen game.

We should expect to see some fireworks this weekend in what promises to be a run matchup.
