2. Tre’Quan Smith has another huge performance

One of the big ticket matchups this week features the New Orleans Saints taking on the Minnesota Vikings. This game can be seen on Sunday Night football and should be very entertaining.

One player I’m keeping a close eye on is rookie wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith. He’s has been getting more actions since the injury to Ted Ginn Jr.

Smith is a big-play threat and already has a breakout performance under his belt. His three catch, 111 yard and two touchdown game against the Washington Redskins show the type of upside he possesses.

This week the Saints take on a Minnesota Vikings team that is banged up in the secondary. They are already without rookie Mike Hughes and could be missing their top cornerback Xavier Rhodes. As of Wednesday, Rhodes hasn’t been able to get on the practice field.

Minnesota might be hurting in the secondary, but still have a very stout run defense. This comes off as a game where Drew Brees will have plenty of opportunities to attack.

Obviously, Smith is a risky play in your fantasy league. He only has seven catches on the season, but everyone could benefit from a game similar to what Smith provided against the Redskins.
