1. The New York Giants bottle up Adrian Peterson even without Snacks

Adrian Peterson is coming off back to back 90 yard rushing days. He had a combined 42 touches between those two games. That’s a lot of work for a 33-year-old running back who already has plenty of miles on his legs.

The issue is that the Washington Redskins really don’t have much offensive firepower. They need to rely on Peterson to help them win football games.

At the moment, Washington sits atop the NFC East and are fighting for a playoff spot. This means that Peterson will continue to get a heavy workload. The Redskins just don’t have many other options.

However, that doesn’t mean that Peterson is going to be effective week in and week out. Up until the past two games, he has rotated from a strong performance to a less productive outing.

This week the Redskins take on an underrated New York Giants defense. One thing working in Peterson’s favor is that the Giants just traded Damon Harrison, but that doesn’t automatically make the Giants defense an easy target.

New York has youngsters Dalvin Tomlinson and BJ Hill to fill in along the defensive line. Alec Ogletree is also still manning the middle of the linebacker corps.
