DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 28, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Dennis Smith Jr (vs UTA – $5,700): Needs 27 fantasy points. Smith Jr. is currently listed as a game-time decision with an ankle injury. The latest update is that he intends to play, but check his status before making any final decisions. Smith Jr. has been hit-and-miss this season and I don’t love him against the Jazz. He was brutal against them last season and we all know how good their defense can be. Diagnosis: Tough matchup and the ankle injury is concerning.
Lou Williams (vs WAS – $5,400): Needs 24. fantasy points. Williams has been disappointing this season when you compared his numbers to last season. I think we’re all waiting for him to explode, but the Clippers are taking a balanced approach and it’s mean Williams do a little less, especially in the passing game. Diagnosis: He’s been reliable, even if a little under value, and still has big game potential.
Patrick Beverley (vs WAS – $4,500): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. Baverley has had one big game this season against the Pelicans, but has otherwise been pretty invisible. I’m liking this matchup largely because the Wizards are a mess and Beverley is going to take things personal in shutting down John Wall. Diagnosis: Slight risk, but the potential is there based on the matchup and minutes.
Quick Hits
JJ Barea ($4,600): If Smith Jr. doesn’t play, Barea is a very good option who may draw the start.
