FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 28, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Ricky Rubio (at DAL – $5,700): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. Rubio has been inconsistent this year, but he did well against the Mavericks last season, going over 40 fantasy points in two of three games. He was great on Saturday, finishing with 54.2 fantasy points. No Anthony Davis helped his cause. The Mavericks defense has not looked good and despite his inconsistencies, we know Rubio can get hot from the field and with his passing. Diagnosis: Good matchup and hopefully he’s turned the corner after Saturday.
Spencer Dinwiddie (vs GS – $5,300): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Dinwiddie had 29.1 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Oct. 26. He hasn’t been as good as we saw him last season, which is due to Russell being healthy against and LeVert emerging. He averaged 33 fantasy points in two games against the Warriors last year. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but gets the minutes and opportunities to deliver.
JJ Barea (vs UTA – $4,500): Needs 19 fantasy points. If Dennis Smith Jr. doesn’t end up playing, Barea becomes a strong option. He’s coming off a poor game against a good Toronto team, but he’s typically reliable. He’ll get more minutes if Smith Jr. doesn’t play. But if DSJ is in the lineup, the matchup might be tough for Barea. Diagnosis: Decent option who could see extra minutes due to injuries. Has a history of delivering despite a tough matchup.
