No. 4 Cameron Meredith vs Minnesota

Cameron Meredith. Former Bear now Saint. Alright we’re familiar. Meredith hasn’t been the same player since suffering the ACL injury to open the 2017 season but I think his role evolves as this season goes on for Brees and New Orleans. It’s unfortunate that Meredith didn’t get to work with Trubisky as he developed but Drew Brees isn’t a bad quarterback to be under either.

Meredith had his best outing of the season against the Redskins before the bye with five catches for 61 yards but since his first outing of the season in Week 3 hasn’t registered a touchdown.

2016 was a great year for Meredith as a Bear and it was a reason fans were excited….somehow, heading into 2017. In his second year in Chicago, Meredith finished with 66 receptions for 888 yards and four touchdowns. After the injury, the Saints came knocking and the Bears didn’t match and here we are.

This matchup is interesting all around for both these teams. It’s a rematch from heartbreak for New Orleans. That loss stings like no other but the offense is humming. The Minnesota defense is picking up the pace and playing better and they get Everson Griffin back this week which is a boost.

That defense will hone in on Kamara and Thomas in this matchup and it lends towards big games for other Brees weapons, who is one of the best quarterbacks in the league at spreading the ball around.
