High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

LeBron James (at MIN – $11,400): Needs 52.2 fantasy points. LeBron has looked like LeBron in recent games. And it’s doubtful the Timberwolves will be the team to stop him. The only thing I’m concerned about is the return of Brandon Ingram. It was obvious in the early games that they were working to get him involved more in order to take pressure off of LeBron. They’ll have to build back up to that, which could mean LeBron takes a small step back. Diagnosis: Great matchup and it’s LeBron. But the return of Ingram could cost him.

Kevin Durant (at CHI – $10,400): Needs 47.6 fantasy points. It’s been the Durant and Curry show in Golden State this season. You should never be afraid to take one of the two, especially with the roll both men are on right now. The concern with the Warriors is that the games won’t be competitive, but they are letting teams hang around a bit. I just don’t know if the Bulls have the talent to hang around. MVP LaVine will need to step up for them to do so. As for Durant, he’ll get his points and rebounds without a problem. Diagnosis: Possibly a higher ceiling than LeBron because the Warriors are more of a sure thing.

Ben Simmons (vs ATL – $9,700): Needs 45.2 fantasy points. The assists weren’t there for Simmons against the Hornets, but I doubt that’ll be the case against the Hawks. Simmons will get his points and rebounds and the assists should be back up if guys just hit shots. The Hawks are a great matchup for any team right now, especially a player of Simmons’ caliber. Diagnosis: Great matchup for a guy with a high ceiling and triple-double potential.

Quick Hits

Taurean Prince ($6,700): Reliable option on a good salary.
