FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 29, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,667
LeBron James (at MIN – $11,800): Needs 48.8 fantasy points. James has been as advertising for the Lakers, even if the wins aren’t coming. Brandon Ingram returning will be a re-adjustment for the Lakers, but LeBron is still LeBron. And the Timberwolves are a trainwreck. LeBron will get it done in a big way away. Diagnosis: There’s rarely doubts with LeBron, especially with a matchup this good in front of him.
Kevin Durant (at CHI – $10,600): Needs 43.8 fantasy points. Durant continues to be big things for the Warriors. Him and Curry are nuclear right now and that’s continued bad news for the rest of the league. The Warriors are on a back-to-back, but it won’t matter much given the break they got on Sunday and their opponent on Monday. The only concern is that this one gets out of hand early. Diagnosis: He’ll get busy for as long as he plays. And he should play enough to get you over 45 fantasy points.
Kawhi Leonard (at MIL – $9,800): Needs 40.5 fantasy points. It’s a big night at small forward. Leonard and Giannis will go toe-to-toe, but I favor Kawhi because I believe the Raptors are the better team and Kawhi is the better defender. Plus, he’s on a lower salary so he has a bit more room to grow. Giannis is a bigger focal point of his offense, but Kawhi does just as much as him on a lower salary. Diagnosis: Leonard and Giannis will put on a show. I prefer Leonard for reasons laid out above.
Quick Hits
Nikola Mirotic ($7,300): If Davis plays, he’s a strong second option with his shooting.
