FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – October 30, 2018
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
Bradley Beal (at MEM – $8,200): Needs 33.7 fantasy points. I still don’t like the way the Wizards are playing, but it’s a slow night at shooting guard and Beal is technically the only high salary option available. We know what Beal is capable of and I dare say he’s the most stable member of the Wizards. But they have proven nothing on this road trip and things have only gotten worse. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward player. The matchup isn’t even that great because Memphis will play tough defense.
Buddy Hield (at ORL – $6,600): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Hield might be the front-runner for Most Improved this season. He had 46.1 fantasy points on Monday against Miami. The Magic are another good matchup and I’m riding Hield for as long as he’s delivering. This early in the season, I expect him to continue to deliver. Diagnosis: Hot hand with a good matchup, even if the Kings are on a back-to-back.
CJ McCollum (at HOU – $6,600): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Everything I said about Lillard more or less applies to McCollum. He didn’t shoot well on Monday and has been a bit inconsistent this season, but we know what he’s capable of and we know the Rockets can’t stop anyone. I’m going to trust that McCollum gets back into a rhythm against this Rockets defense. Diagnosis: Expect a bounce-back performance and for CJ to at least hit value.
