High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Steph Curry (vs NO – $9,900): Needs 41.4 fantasy points. Curry had 51.1 fantasy points in just 25 minutes against the Bulls on Oct. 29. The Pelicans will offer more resistance, but it’s not like their defense has been stopping teams, especially without Anthony Davis in the lineup. Curry has been phenomenal this season and if Davis isn’t on the floor, he’ll have an easier time getting to the basket. Diagnosis: He costs a lot, but he’s been worth it for the majority of this season. This is another good matchup and the Warriors look just as unstoppable as ever.

Jamal Murray (at CHI – $7,400): Needs 30.9 fantasy points. Murray isn’t Curry or Klay, but he’s a high-scoring guard going up a team that just gave up multiple NBA scoring records. It’s tough to feel good about the Bulls defense after what we saw on Monday. Murray has looked better with each outing since Barton went down with injury. Scoring and assists should not be an issue for Murray. Diagnosis: Great matchup. His ceiling isn’t as high as Curry’s, but he could offer more value at a lower salary.

D’Angelo Russell (vs DET – $7,000): Needs 29.3 fantasy points. It’s a slow night at high salary point guard thanks to injury questions. Russell was on a hot streak but managed just 17.6 fantasy points against the Knicks on Oct. 29. He had just 18.9 fantasy points against the Pistons on Oct. 17. The Pistons are on a back-to-back, but the Nets are inconsistent across the board right now. Diagnosis: Maybe hits value, but hasn’t proven he can go much higher.
