Players costing $6,667 or under

Dennis Smith Jr (at LAL – $6,500): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. I love anyone against the Lakers right now. They have not defended anyone this season and the Mavericks have enough offensive firepower to put up points. Smith Jr. has been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. He’s mainly relying on his scoring, but that hasn’t been a problem this season. Diagnosis:

Derrick Rose (vs UTA – $5,500): Needs 23 fantasy points. Rose continues to deliver this season. He’s not only getting his scoring numbers, but he’s running the offense and picking up assists. His salary has jumped way up, which is a bit of a concern, but he’s proven to be reliable. I know, famous last words when it comes to trusting Derrick Rose. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but Rose is getting minutes and a high usage.

Frank Ntilikina (vs IND – $5,100): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. Frankie Smokes has looked more comfortable with each passing game. He comes off a 31 fantasy point performance against the Nets on Oct. 29. He’s showing a nice scoring touch and chipping in with rebounds and assists. The Pacers defense remains inconsistent. Diagnosis: Good salary and a solid matchup. Plays big minutes, which always helps at this salary.
