Spurs are operating on only one day of rest, having played to 0-1 loss on Monday night against Manchester City. Mauricio Pellegrino is facing a key stretch of the season, with a game versus Wolverhampton on Saturday and a must-win game against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on next Tuesday. Win the next three games and Tottenham will be set to challenge on all fronts. It is likely that Pochettino will rotate his squad allowing the first team players some rest ahead of the Premier League and Champions League games. There is a chance that Dele Alli could return from his hamstring injury this week but Danny Rose and Jan Verthongen remain unavailable.
The Hammers are looking to avenge their recent 0-1 loss to Tottenham. Manuel Pellegrini hopes to have Pedro Obiang available for Wednesday night’s game. The Spaniard missed the league match against Tottenham and Saturday’s draw with Leicester with a calf problem. Winston Reid, Carlos Sanchez, Manuel Lanzini and Andriy Yarmolenko are long-term absentees with Jack Wilshere still a week away from resuming training following an ankle problem. Mark Noble is serving a one-game suspension and Andy Carroll is not expected back for another few weeks.
