(14) Penn State at (5) Michigan – 3:45 p.m. ET – ESPN

Michigan has been the hottest team in the Big Ten since losing to Notre Dame to start the season and will look to remain in playoff contention against a Penn State team that has looked vulnerable at times.

The match-up to watch in this contest will be the Michigan defense against Penn State quarterback Trace McSorely. While the Michigan defense has played like one of the best units in the country all season, they have not faced a quarterback who is even remotely comparable to McSorley. The Penn State quarterback is a true dual threat player and has accounted for over 2000 yards with 21 total touchdowns this season. However, this weekend will be a challenge for McSorley as well, who will be tasked with attacking a Michigan defense that has been more than stingy. The Wolverines lead the nation in total defense and have only given up an average of 14 points per game.

This is going to be a fun game to watch and it could end up being a battle. Although McSorely is one of the country’s best signal callers, the Michigan defense will be too much for him to overcome in a tight game down the stretch.
