Chicago Bears (-9.5) @ Buffalo Bills

Nathan Peterman is back! Saying again for those in the back, Nathan Peterman is returning as starting quarterback of an NFL franchise! We are only excited for betting purposes, of course. He is awful on the football field, and it’s sad that people will have to watch him play once again. On the bright side, we get to bet against him again.

Somehow, this is not a double-digit line. I don’t care that the Bills are at home, or that their defense looked presentable against the Patriots on Monday Night Football, this is Nathan Peterman we are talking about.

We’ll quickly discuss the Bears, even though we know where the bet is going. The Bears could rest Khalil Mack once again. He sat out last week against the New York Jets, and the Bears could do it against with their defensive star. Mitch Trubisky could use this week to prove himself, but it will take something that Tom Brady couldn’t do.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers (-6)

There is just something about Ryan Fitzpatrick that keeps him in the starting job seemingly forever. He’s been on seven different franchises in his career, and started games for all of them. After a brief stint on the bench in favor of Jameis Winston, Fitzpatrick is back under center for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers are quietly one of the better teams in the NFC. Did you know this team only had two losses? They’ve had some of the weirdest games of the NFL season, but came out a winner five different times.

I’m feeling the magic this week. I think that Fitzpatrick could keep the Bucs in this game single-handedly. For that reason, take six points from Vegas.
