DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 4, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Tyus Jones (at POR – $4,900): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. Circumstances are good for Jones. He doesn’t play minutes when everyone is healthy (even though he’s a very good player), but he’ll play 40 minutes if Teague and Rose is out. He’s a steal at this salary if he’s the last point guard left standing. The Blazers are a tough matchup, but someone has to run point in Minnesota. Diagnosis: Injuries mean he’s going to get big minutes and he’s proven to be able tp step up as the lead point guard.
Frank Ntilikina (at WAS – $4,300): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. I’m a fan of taking anyone against the Wizards right now. That team is a complete mess who are not even trying on defense. Ntilikina can be a little inconsistent, but he gets big minutes as the starter and does well with points and assists on good days. Expect a good day out of him. Seriously, have you watched the Wizards play this season? Diagnosis: Pound the matchup. Frankie Smokes is a low cost option with a high ceiling.
Fed VanVleet (at LAL – $4,200): Needs 19.1 fantasy points. The bench mob is back in full force for Toronto, which is bad news for the Lakers. The Lakers have a rather weak bench, especially when McGee takes a rest (Tyson Chandler is not expected to be ready on Sunday). VanVleet is a proven low cost option who does everything Lowry does, although not at quite the same level. Diagnosis: Great matchup, low cost, and VanVleet is reliable with a high ceiling.
