High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

LeBron James (vs TOR – $12,000): Needs 49.9 fantasy points. James had 47.5 fantasy points against the Blazers on Saturday. There are a number of red flags heading into this matchup. First, the back-to-back. LeBron is LeBron, but he didn’t look great against the Blazers (especially defensively) and he’s not getting any younger. More importantly, he could be facing Kawhi Leonard. That’s bad news if he’s not 100 percent. Diagnosis: He’s LeBron and you can rarely go wrong. But the warning signs are there for him to underperform.

Rudy Gay (vs ORL – $7,000): Needs 29.1 fantasy points. Gay was down to 13.8 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Saturday. That’s concerning for obvious reasons. The good news is that he did get his shots, he just missed the majority of them. His rebounding numbers were down as well as Aldridge picked up the majority of misses. It seems like it’s going to be one of Gay or Aldridge to deliver. Aldridge is far more reliable. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but the third option and a high salary third option as well.

Andrew Wiggins (at POR – $6,600): Needs 27.5 fantasy points. If Jimmy Butler doesn’t play, Wiggins is a very good option. He’s slightly under the salary cutoff, but that’s only due to Leonard’s status. Wiggins has looked better this season and he continues to get his opportunities in the Minnesota offense. Even with Butler in the lineup he’s been a nice contributor. Take Butler out and he’s the best perimeter option. Diagnosis: Will hit value with Butler and has the potential for a big game without Butler.
