Aldridge
SAN ANTONIO, TX – MARCH 21: LaMarcus Aldridge /

High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

LaMarcus Aldridge (vs ORL – $8,100): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. Much to my surprise, Aldridge had 44.1 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Saturday despite going up against Anthony Davis. Davis had typically gotten the better of Aldridge, so this had to be a confident booster for him. He always gets his shots and when he’s rebounding, he’s that much better. He’ll have another chance to stay on track against a weak Magic team. Diagnosis: Is hopefully back in form after a rough couple of outings. Ceiling remains high.

Aaron Gordon (at SA – $7,600): Needs 32.5 fantasy points. Yikes. I have no feel for Gordon. One day he looks like the best player in the world. The next night he’s held to under 10 fantasy points. He’s too talented to be held to under 10 fantasy points. He has a high ceiling while the Spurs are on a back-to-back and have a poor defense. But it’s tough to trust Gordon right now, no matter what the matchup is. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward with a good matchup.

Kyle Kuzma (vs TOR – $6,700): Needs 28.6 fantasy points. Your options here are Kuzma or Brandon Ingram. And neither looked all that good on Saturday. I like Kuzma better just because he seems to be a better fit alongside LeBron right now and has been more consistent in the young season. That said, I have no confidence in anyone on the Lakers, who are on a back-to-back, against a team like Toronto. Diagnosis: Decent option with a high ceiling. But the Lakers are an inconsistent group outside of MVP JaVale McGee.
