Players costing $6,667 or under

Darren Collison (vs HOU – $5,300): Needs 22 fantasy points. Collison has been a bit up-and-down this season, but he’s looked better as the season has gone along and the Rockets are a good matchup. I don’t think the Rockets defense is fixed because of good games against the Bulls and Nets. The Pacers have one of the better offenses and Collison can carve them up. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary with a good matchup.

Tyus Jones (at LAC – $5,100): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. Jones wasn’t good against the Blazers, but no one on the Timberwolves was good. Jones has also proven that he can bounce back after a poor game. If Derrick Rose doesn’t play once again, Jones will get plenty of run and the return of Jimmy Butler will take pressure off him. Diagnosis: Expect him to bounce back.

Ish Smith (vs MIA – $4,500): Needs 18.7 fantasy points. Smith has been reliable at this salary. He’s playing big minutes and has the ability to put up good scoring and assist numbers. I have no feeling for the Heat or Pistons, which means someone like Smith will probably have some huge game because the NBA is weird. Diagnosis: Low salary and reliable with a high ceiling and a good matchup.
