High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Kawhi Leonard (at UTA – $10,100): Needs 41.6 fantasy points. Leonard rested on Sunday, so he should be fresh against the Jazz. Utah is struggling right now and Leonard has been great this season. As good as the Jazz defense should be, they haven’t shown it much early in the season. Meanwhile, Leonard looks like an MVP candidate with his play. He puts up numbers in all categories and can put up big scoring numbers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Mirotic (at OKC – $8,400): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. Mirotic has rarely disappointed this season. He’s been over 42 fantasy points in his last four games. Even as his shooting has cooled down, he’s posting huge rebounding numbers. Davis being in the lineup should cut into those numbers, but he hasn’t thus far. The Thunder can be a good rebounding team, but I’m not doubting Mirotic. Diagnosis: Has been fantastic this season, with or without Davis.

Josh Richardson (at DET – $7,300): Needs 30 fantasy points. Richardson is coming off a 45.7 fantasy point game against the Hawks. It’s the Hawks, so take that with a grain of salt. That said, the Pistons are in rough shape right now and Richardson is the best player on the Heat. His scoring numbers are way up in recent games, but I’d like to see him do a bit more. Diagnosis: I like the matchup and the way he’s playing.
