High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Blake Griffin (vs MIA – $9,400): Needs 39.5 fantasy points. Griffin had 61.6 fantasy points against the Sixers on Nov. 3. He had to step up as Andre Drummond was invisible. I expect Drummond to be better, but Griffin has been reliable in every game except one this season. And overall, I have no feel for how the Heat are going to play on a night-to-night basis. Griffin will get his points and rebounds while chipping in with assists. Diagnosis: High ceiling with a good matchup.

Wendell Carter Jr (at NY – $7,800): Needs 32.8 fantasy points. Carter Jr has been excellent in recent weeks. He’s coming off a 46.1 fantasy point performance against the Rockets on Nov. 3. With Jabari Parker not being good, Carter Jr has had to step up as a rookie. I still don’t trust rookies on a game-to-game basis, but the Knicks are a great matchup and he’s playing well. Diagnosis: Good matchup and circumstances even though he’s a rookie.

Aaron Gordon (vs CLE – $7,300): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. Gordon has been inconsistent this season, but he is coming off a 37.6 fantasy point performance on Sunday and now he’s playing the Cavaliers at home. It is a back-to-back for Gordon, but come on, it’s also the Cavaliers. Despite Gordon’s inconsistencies, he should be able to put up big numbers. Diagnosis: High ceiling and playing the friggin’ Cavs.
