High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

John Wall (at DAL – $10,400): Needs 43.2 fantasy points. Wall had 49.9 fantasy points against the Knicks on Nov. 4. I still don’t know where the Wizards are at. They looked good against the Knicks, but it was the Knicks. The Mavericks are not a good team, but Wall has the ability to put up big numbers in multiple categories. The matchup is good and Wall can deliver, but it can go south in a hurry. Diagnosis: If the Wizards didn’t secretly hate each other, I’d like this a lot more.

Kemba Walker (vs ATL – $9,200): Needs 38.2 fantasy points. Walker has definitely cooled off since his hot starter. He’s had some good matchups as well, most notably in his last game against the Cavaliers. The Hawks are another good matchup for him and hopefully he can regain his scoring touch. He’s doing enough in other categories, he just needs his shots to fall. Diagnosis: Good matchup and a high ceiling. Should be at value at worst.

Trae Young (at CHA – $7,500): Needs 31.1 fantasy points. Young had 51.7 fantasy points against the Heat on Nov. 3. He’s been a rookie with a high ceiling, but still a rookie. That means he’ll have his poor games to go along with his explosions. Because of that, he’s a bit of a risk, but the reward is extremely high if he has his passing going and his shots are falling. Diagnosis: Slight risk due to rookie struggled, but high reward.
