High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Dennis Smith Jr. (vs WAS – $6,500): Needs 27 fantasy points. Smith Jr. has struggled mightily in recent contests. But if Luka Doncic is unable to play, the offense will be back in his hands. If Doncic plays, Smith Jr. is a bit of a risk just due to how he’s played in recent contests. The matchup is good and the minutes will be there. Diagnosis: Good matchup, gets minutes, but the recent play is concerning. Much will depend on Doncic’s status.

Spencer Dinwiddie (at PHO – $5,300): Needs 22 fantasy points. Dinwiddie has been up and down this season. He was solid against the Sixers, finishing with 24.2 fantasy points on Nov. 4. The potential is there and Phoenix is always a great matchup, even if the Nets aren’t the best team in the league. Diagnosis: Inconsistent option with a good matchup and decent ceiling.

Tony Parker (vs ATL – $4,300): Needs 17.8 fantasy points. Parker has provided valuable minutes off the Hornets bench. The matchup is a good one and he has shown the ability to go over 30 fantasy points on any given night. If nothing else, he’s a reliable low-cost option who gets plenty of usage as the second unit leader. Diagnosis: Low cost, reliable, good matchup, and a high ceiling.
