Adam Humphries, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Ryan Fitzpatrick has a plethora of weapons to throw it to in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense, and Week 9 was Adam Humphries’s time to shine. Humphries lit up the Carolina Panthers defense with 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns, as he posted one of the best fantasy football displays of any receiver this week.

After catching all 8 of his targets in Week 9, Humphries may be in line for more looks from Fitzpatrick in Week 10 when the Buccaneers take on a Washington defense that struggled mightily against Tevin Coleman, Calvin Ridley, and Julio Jones in their loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Humphries has never been a big touchdown target, as those two scores against Carolina were his first touchdowns of the season and allowed him to tie a career high for most touchdowns in a single season (2). However, he has hauled in over 75 receiving yards in three of his last four games, indicating that he’ll be a bigger part of the Buccaneers offense going forward.

As the target rise, so, too, will the opportunity for touchdowns. Though more focus will be on Mike Evans and OJ Howard, with DeSean Jackson and Chris Godwin also in the mix, Humphries is worth considering as a fantasy stash.
