DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 7, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Reggie Jackson (at ORL – $5,600): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. Jackson had 41 fantasy points against the Heat on Nov. 5. He’s been inconsistent this season, and his whole career really, but the matchup is a good one and he’s shown a high ceiling throughout his career. I’ll trust him against the Magic, even though I recognize he could easily bottom out with less than 20 fantasy points. Diagnosis: Matchup is good, inconsistencies are concerning.
Derrick Rose (at LAL – $5,600): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. Rose was back in the lineup and finished with 30.2 fantasy points against the Clippers on Nov. 5. He’ll continue to get his shots and offensive opportunities in the Minnesota offense. The Lakers don’t play defense and Rose is looking healthy this season. Salary remains good. Diagnosis: Keep taking him until he shows he no longer has it. Chances will be there.
Allonzo Trier (at ATL – $4,500): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. Trier made his first start on Nov. 5 against the Bulls and finished with 32.2 fantasy points. The Knicks are changing their rotation on a nightly basis, which is frustrating as a DFS player. If Trier starts, I’m going to assume he’ll play big minutes. The Hawks are a good matchup under normal circumstances, but they are on a back-to-back on Wednesday. Diagnosis: I can’t make sense of the Knicks. But I’ll role with Allonzo if he starts given the matchup and salary.
