High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Reggie Jackson (at ORL – $6,000): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. Jackson had 38.8 fantasy points against the Heat on Nov. 5. I still don’t know what to make of Jackson or the Pistons this season, but the Magic are a good matchup, Jackson gets plenty of minutes, and he has a high ceiling. I’ll trust him against this matchup and believe he’ll get his points and assists. Diagnosis: Good matchup for a guy with a high ceiling. But inconsistent.

Derrick Rose (at LAL – $5,500): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. Rose was back in the lineup on Nov. 5 against the Clippers and he delivered 28.6 fantasy points. If you’ve been reading daily, you’ll know that I’ve been riding Rose this season and there’s a good reason for it. He gets plenty of usage in the Minnesota system and is looking the best he’s looked in years. Diagnosis: Low-cost option with a high ceiling and usage. Good matchup as well.

Fred VanVleet (at SAC – $4,700): Needs 19.5 fantasy points. VanVleet returned to form against the Jazz, posting 28.8 fantasy points off the bench. I’m chalking that Lakers game up to a rough night and trusting him to be his usual self on the second unit. He’s a proven commodity at this salary and the matchup is good, no matter how well the Kings have played thus far. Diagnosis: Love the salary, his skill set, and the matchup.
