2019 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders nab Nick Bosa at No. 2
By Brad Weiss
The Oakland Raiders traded away Amari Cooper during their bye week, and in exchange, they got the Cowboys first round pick in 2019. You can be sure all of Raider Nation was watching Monday Night Football, as they saw Cooper catch a touchdown pass, and then the Cowboys lose at home to the Tennessee Titans.
With every loss the Cowboys get this season, the Raiders have to be ecstatic, as that means they could possibly have two top-10 picks in 2019. That is the kind of draft capital that can turn a franchise around, and now the hope is Jon Gruden and his staff know what to do when the time comes.
When it comes to the Raiders defense, they need a lot of help, including talent at all three levels of the unit. At linebacker, they need a guy who can come in and be a star in the middle, and Devin White from LSU has superstar written all over him, and could be available at No. 10.
White is the kind of player who can captain your defense, as well as wreck havoc on the opposition. If the Raiders can add an edge rusher like Nick Bosa at No. 2, and then Devin White at No. 10, this is a defense that gets instantly better, as those are two glaring holes on the roster right now.
