FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 8, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Jusuf Nurkic (vs LAC – $8,100): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. Nurkic has been over 30 fantasy points in his last five games. He should see big minutes against the Clippers as they utilize Boban and he’s always a threat to get easy points and plenty of rebounds. He’s even picked up his assist numbers in recent games. Diagnosis: Love his ceiling and the way he’s been playing.
Deandre Ayton (vs BOS – $7,500): Needs 33 fantasy points. Ayton has been solid in his rookie season, but the Celtics are a tough matchup. They’ll find a way to make Ayton’s life miserable, which is what worries me. He’s typically reliable for points and rebounds and the low salary certainly helps, but the matchup is slightly concerning. Still, I like him over others because of his ceiling and the opportunities he gets. Diagnosis: Risky due to the matchup, but a high reward.
Al Horford (at PHO – $7,000): Needs 30.8 fantasy points. Horford has been at 28 fantasy points in the last two games. Horford is rarely going to kill you due to his ability to put up numbers in all categories and his playing time. But his ceiling is limited as he’s just not a big DFS player. I like him on Thursday because it’s the Suns. Diagnosis: Good matchup and reliable if nothing else.
