FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 8, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Isaiah Canaan (vs BOS – $4,800): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. Canaan had 22.6 fantasy points against the Nets on Nov. 6. He’s been inconsistent this season, but he scores the ball well. The problem is, his value is largely tied to his scoring. If he’s not getting points, he’s not doing much of anything else. I don’t trust him to get points against Boston. Diagnosis: Inconsistent and with a tough matchup, but he gets minutes and shots.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at POR – $4,000): Needs 16.6 fantasy points. Gilgeous-Alexander made his first start on Nov. 5 against the Timberwolves and finished with 21.1 fantasy points. Not great numbers, but it shows that he’s going to get minutes alongside the top players, which gives him a chance to make an impact. Diagnosis: Low-cost and will get solid minutes. Has potential.
Terry Rozer (at PHO – $4,000): Needs 16.6 fantasy points. Rozier has been a bust throughout this season and is now complaining about playing time. Either his playing time will be up and he’ll showcase himself or he’ll continue to tread water in Boston. Typically, it seems like players respond big when these reports come out. Given the matchup in front of him, I’m going to trust him to respond. Diagnosis: Inconsistent this year, but the ceiling is there, the matchup is good, and the circumstances are good as well.
