4. Marvin Bagley

The former Duke star is a bit fortunate to hold on to the No. 4 spot in our rankings this week. He hasn’t been playing good basketball for the Kings over the past week.

The problem for Bagley is that he just isn’t doing enough for Sacramento on the offensive end. When he’s got the ball in his hands he needs to try to attack the defense. He doesn’t need to shoot the ball every time he touches it, but he has to put pressure on the opponent.

More often than not, that sort of attack should lead to a shooting possession for Bagley. He’s shooting over 50 percent from 3 on the young season, but he’s only managed 12 attempts in 10 games. If he doesn’t want to end up playing center, he needs to prove that he’s a power forward who can be prolific from behind the arc.

Remember, Bagley is a liability on the defensive end. If he’s going to be a positive force as a rookie, he needs to produce offense at a borderline All-Star level. The way De’Aaron Fox is pushing the ball for the Kings should be getting Bagley easy shots. He’s just not being aggressive enough lately. The bottom line is that he needs to shoot more often if he’s going to move up this list.
