High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jaylen Brown (at UTA – $5,000): Needs 21 fantasy points. Brown has been reliable in recent games and has a low salary that makes him easy to fit into your lineup. With Tatum’s play going down, Brown has raised his game. The Celtics still offer a lot of imbalance on a night-to-night basis, which is the only concern. But I like the way he’s playing. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary.

Rodney McGruder (vs IND – $4,900): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. McGruder has been solid this season and gets big minutes in the starting lineup. He’s shown a high ceiling and at this salary, he’s not going to hurt you too much. His scoring has dropped a bit in recent contests, but he’s doing enough in other categories to boost his value. Diagnosis: Great salary given the minutes and role he plays.

Malik Monk (at PHI – $4,500): Needs 18.9 fantasy points. Monk always gets his shots in the Charlotte offense and I expect nothing different on Friday against the Sixers. He wasn’t good in the Oct. 27 meeting, but that was before he truly cracked the rotation. Now that he’s in the rotation, he’s delivered almost nightly. I expect nothing different on Friday. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary and a relatively good ceiling.
