Players costing over $6,667

Blake Griffin (at ATL – $9,800): Needs 41.3 fantasy points. Griffin had an off-night in Orlando, finishing with just 30.5 fantasy points. He bounced back strong in his only other rough game this season and will have a great matchup in front of him for another big bounce-back performance. The Hawks are not good and Griffin should be able to put up big scoring and rebounding numbers. Diagnosis: High ceiling player with a fantastic matchup.

Aaron Gordon (vs WAS – $7,900): Needs 33.3 fantasy points. Gordon has been good in his last three games, but I still don’t know what to expect from him on a game-to-game basis. What I do know is that the Wizards are terrible and don’t play much, if any, defense. Gordon can do a bit of everything and I love the matchup for him. Diagnosis: Great matchup for a high ceiling player. A bit inconsistent.

Jayson Tatum (at UTA – $6,600): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. Tatum was down to 18.6 fantasy points against the Suns on Thursday. But he’s your only other high salary option even if he comes in under the salary line. His game has tailed off as Irving’s game has gone up. The scoring talent is obviously there, but he’s cold right now, which is concerning. Diagnosis: Risky at the moment, but high reward.
