4. Chicago Bears

The Bears have been one of the best stories this season that nobody is really paying attention to, well except maybe Bears and Raiders fans. After acquiring Khalil Mack from the Raiders prior to the season starting, the Bears turned themselves into contenders. However, being in a division with the Packers and Vikings is never easy, and consequently the Bears have been forgotten about.

Well, albeit quietly, the Bears have climbed to the top of the NFC North with a 5-3 record, slightly better than the Vikings mark of 5-3-1. This week the Bears are at home to face the lowly Detroit Lions, who sit at the bottom of the division with a 3-5 record.

Mitchell Trubisky has taken a step forward in his second season as the signal caller, but he still leaves a lot to be desired. Head Coach Matt Nagy has done a terrific job with his group in Chicago, bringing a fresh offensive mind to a team that has historically been known for its defense.

As it stands, the Bears have one of the most balanced rosters in the league. They have numerous weapons on offense, including Jordan Howard and Allen Robinson. But the defense is really the specialty, with newcomer Khalil Mack joining Akiem Hicks and Danny Trevathan.

With a win, the Bears push themselves a step closer to earning a spot in the playoffs.
