High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Rajon Rondo (at SAC – $5,600): Needs 23.2fantasy points. Much of Rondo’s value will be based on the status of Lonzo Ball. If Ball doesn’t end up playing because he’s afraid of Fox, Rondo is going to be the starter and see extra run. He’s done well as the starter this season, typically finds a way to contribute, and has a pretty solid matchup as the Kings are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Circumstances are good for him to be a nice value pick given his role.

Collin Sexton (at CHI – $4,400): Needs 18.2 fantasy points. Sexton played 42 minutes against the Thunder on Nov. 7. It only led to 18.9 fantasy points, but with George Hill out of the lineup, Sexton is going to see big minutes moving forward. Against the Bulls, who are nowhere near the defensive team of the Thunder, he should have an easier time putting up points. This is a great salary and a good matchup given his minutes and role. Diagnosis: A rookie, so inconsistent. But a lot of things working in his favor.

Quinn Cook (vs BKN – $4,400): Needs 18.2 fantasy points. With Curry out of the lineup, Cook should start, though it’s possible the Warriors go with Iguodala, so keep an eye on that. If Cook does start, he’s a great play at this salary. He averaged 25.4 fantasy points as the starter last season. Against a Nets team on a back-to-back, he has a chance to be a big contributor. Diagnosis: If he starts, take him with plenty of confidence.
