Fantasy Football 2018: 10 matchups to attack in Week 10
By Connor Ulrey
9. Ryan Fitzpatrick vs Washington
Ryan Fitzpatrick should be the starter in Tampa Bay and it’s a good thing he’s back in that role. Washington is a good matchup for the Buccaneers and they’ll have to play up as the Redskins are playing moderately well and hopeful to keep level with Philadelphia in the NFC East.
It’s been a good year overall for the Harvard alum with 17 touchdowns on the year to go with just seven interceptions. Fitzpatrick returned to the starting role after Winston was benched against the Bengals and nearly came from behind to win, finishing 11-for-15 with two touchdowns and the second-best QBR on the year at 154.9.
After starting 2-0, the Buccaneers are 1-5 with their lone win coming against the Browns who may be the only team in more flux than them. It hasn’t been easy at any point and with the worst pass defense in the league, the Redskins and Alex Smith should put up points. That’s when Fitzmagic is at his best, firing touchdowns left and right.
I don’t think the Buccaneers win this game but I think it’s a lot closer than people give credit for and a huge part of that is Fitzpatrick. He’s a top matchup this week at the quarterback position.
