FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 12, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Ben Simmons (at MIA – $9,900): Needs 41.6 fantasy points. This might be the last game before Butler joins the lineup, which means this might be the last game where Simmons isn’t afraid of his own shadow. He wasn’t great against Memphis, but Memphis’ defense is better than Miami’s. Simmons dominated Miami in the playoffs last season and I expect more of the same on Monday. He’ll get numbers in all categories. Diagnosis: Get him while you still can.
Kyle Lowry (vs NO – $8,700): Needs 36.6 fantasy points. Lowry has been down a bit in his last two games, but the Knicks game was a blowout, so don’t put much stock into that. The Pelicans game should be close and Lowry has been great for the majority of the season. Plus, the Pelicans perimeter defense is absolutely dreadful. Lowry should get plenty of points and assists in this one. Diagnosis: Good offense vs. a bad defense. Lowry should feast.
Derrick Rose (vs BKN – $6,900): Needs 29 fantasy points. No Jimmy Butler and possibly no Andrew Wiggins mean big things once again for Rose. He’s been fantastic this season and without Butler and Wiggins, and the Timberwolves potentially being shorthanded, Rose’s usage should be way up. And it’s already pretty high. Expect big things out of him on Monday. Diagnosis: He’s been reliable all season and the circumstances/matchup is great on Monday.
