FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – November 12, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
D’Angelo Russell (at MIN – $6,200): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Russell’s value largely depends on the status of Caris LeVert. If LeVert doesn’t end up playing, Russell should pick up extra minutes and a higher usage rate. He’ll be the best perimeter option on the floor for the Nets without LeVert. And it’s not like the Timberwolves defense is good, especially being shorthanded and with Butler being gone. Diagnosis: Good set of circumstances for Russell to be over value.
Quinn Cook (at LAC – $5,400): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. Cook had 41.1 fantasy points on Nov. 10 against the Nets. He drew the start in place of Curry and was great as the starter in Golden State last year. His salary remains reasonable given his talent and the team he’s on. The Clippers are a tougher matchup than the Nets, but Cook can score when he’s next to two, maybe three, All-Stars. Diagnosis: Great circumstances and a high ceiling.
Jerian Grant (at WAS – $4,300): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. I’m not saying the Wizards are fixed just because they beat the Heat. Grant had 24.6 fantasy points against the Wizards on Nov. 9. He’s been splitting time with Augustin, but he’s been doing just as much on a lesser salary. I’m going to trust him to be a solid producer given the matchup. Diagnosis: Low-cost and reliable. The matchup is good.
