High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (at DEN – $11,500): Needs 48 fantasy points. Harden looked more like the MVP on Nov. 11 against the Pacers, coming up with 58.9 fantasy points. The Nuggets defense has been a bit better, but has looked sloppy in the last couple of games. If Harden is truly back in form, he should continue to get buckets and rack up assists against the Nuggets. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but this is an odd game for me to figure out.

Klay Thompson (vs ATL – $7,100): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. As always, you know the deal with Thompson. He’s going to get his shots in this offense and he’s a good bet to hit those shots. Especially against a weak Hawks team. He’s not doing much of anything else, but the scoring will definitely be there. Like every other Warriors star, a blowout is concerning. Diagnosis: Reliable at worst, high ceiling, blowout looms.

Kent Bazemore (at GS – $6,900): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Bazemore had 46.1 fantasy points against the Lakers on Nov. 11. He’s been up-and-down this season, which is a concern. And his down games have been duds. He had 37.6 fantasy points against the Warriors in his only game against them last season. Diagnosis: Will get the minutes and is solid when he’s on, but inconsistency is a worry.
