High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Kevin Durant (vs ATL – $11,800): Needs 48 fantasy points. The only concern for Durant is a lack of playing time. For as long as he does play, he’s going to put up great numbers. But can he reach 50 fantasy points in less than 30 minutes? Probably. But is that enough for you to take him? That’s up to you. He has a fantastic matchup and he always delivers without Curry. But a blowout is very concerning. Diagnosis: Only issue is a blowout. Otherwise, take him with confidence.

Taurean Prince (at GS – $6,600): Needs 26.9 fantasy points. Prince had 33.9 fantasy points on Nov. 11 against the Lakers. He’s been inconsistent this season and this salary feels a bit too high. The minutes will be there, which is always a good thing for a players value. And he did play well against the Warriors last season, averaging 33 fantasy points in two contests. Diagnosis: I’ll trust him to at least hit value.

Nicolas Batum (at CLE – $5,900): Needs 24 fantasy points. Batum has struggled in his last few games, getting held under 20 fantasy points in two of his last three. However, he had 31.6 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Nov. 3 and the Cavaliers remain the Cavaliers. Batum can do a bit of everything and the matchup is a very good one. Diagnosis: High ceiling, given the matchup. But inconsistency is a concern.
