Stats: 15 carries, 145 yards and two touchdowns

The Green Bay Packers backfield has been a bit of an engima this year. They started out leaning on Ty Montgomery and Jamal Williams which didn’t produce great results. Aaron Jones got back into the rotation after serving a suspension.

Jones has led the team in carries the past two weeks and has had sound results. This past week he had a huge breakout by finishing with 145 rushing yards. One of those carries was for 65 yards.

Green Bay faces a bit of an uphill climb to get back into the playoff race. They currently sit behind the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings in their own division. It will be important for someone like Jones to continue producing.

Aaron Rodgers is capable of putting this team on his back and leading them to the post season. However, if they want to be considered a realistic Super Bowl threat than the Packers will need to establish a consistent ground attack.

The current trend has that falling on Jones’ shoulders. Williams will remain in the mix because of his strength as a pass blocker, but Jones should see a majority of the carries.
