2019 NFL mock draft: Broncos get QB in Drew Lock
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills went into Metlife Stadium this past weekend with Matt Barkley under center, so the expectation was that they would come out on the losing end. However, Barkley provided a spark for the Bills, and their defense stepped up, as they dropped 41 points on the Jets on the road.
While that was a stunning effort, it is not something to be expected every week from this team, and they will likely find themselves picking in the top-10 next April. Last year, they were able to get their quarterback in round one, drafting Josh Allen from Wyoming, and he has already gotten hurt during his rookie season.
The offensive line in Buffalo is just not good, and the tackle spot is an issue, especially after trading away Cordy Glenn. The Bills need to address this area during the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and selecting a guy like Greg Little from Ole Miss would go a long way in building the offensive line for the future.
Buffalo got a nice effort out of Zay Jones against the Jets, and Allen has all the talent to be a good starter in the league for many years. Getting better along the offensive line has got to be the priority at this point, and Little is a guy that should be able to stay on the left side at the next level.
