Drew Lock. 8. player. 45. . Quarterback. Missouri

The Denver Broncos are lucky the Oakland Raiders stink this season, because had they not been the worst team in football, the Broncos would be finishing in the cellar of the AFC West. This offseason, the Broncos made some moves to bolster the roster, including upgrading at the quarterback spot, but they are once again one of the worst teams in the AFC.

Case Keenum had a stellar season in 2017 as the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, leading them to a spot in the NFC Championship Game. His first season in Denver,  however, has not yielded those kinds of results, and the team may be looking to go with a long-term solution at the position in the 2019 NFL Draft.

While the 2019 draft class is not as loaded as the 2018 one was, there are still a couple of quarterbacks who could make serious impact at the NFL level. During his time at Missouri, Drew Lock has spent his days picking apart defenses in the toughest conference in all of college football, so it would not come as a shock if he was a first round pick next April.

The Broncos traded away Demaryius Thomas prior to the trade deadline, so it is not like they are trying to win their division this season. They are instead likely headed to the top-10 of the 2019 NFL Draft, where John Elway may finally  get that long-term solution at quarterback he has been desperately trying to acquire.
