High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Malcolm Brogdon (vs MEM – $5,700): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. Brogdon has been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. I’ve loved Brogdon all season, and while his new higher salary does worry me, I’m going to trust him one more time. The Grizzlies are a tough matchup, but with a lot of attention going to Giannis, Brogdon has proven capable of stepping up. Diagnosis: Playing well and in one of the best offenses in the league. Can do a bit of everything.

JJ Redick (at ORL – $5,400): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. Redick had 29.7 fantasy point against the Heat on Nov. 12. The arrival of Jimmy Butler will change the dynamic of the Sixers, but it also turns Redick into their most reliable 3-point shooter by a good margin. It should also free him up for cleaner looks, assuming Butler buys into Philly’s system. I like the Sixers and the “first game excitement” boost that comes after big trades. Diagnosis: Redick will deliver on this salary.

Terrence Ross (vs PHI – $5,000): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. Ross has played well in the last week, going over 26 fantasy points in three out of his last four games. The Sixers are a stout defensive team, but Ross is making an impact with his shooting and is reliable from deep on a team that lacks outside shooting. The salary is good and if by chance, Butler doesn’t gel right away, Ross could benefit. Diagnosis: Low-cost and playing well. Honestly not sure how to feel about the matchup with Butler in the mix.
